It had been several days since the incident with a certain child. Diablo had stashed away the evidence, hidden it deep in the den he had made. He was not yet ready to tell his father about it, but his sister had learned every detail. No doubt that sooner or later, the girl's family - if she had any - would find him. But he decided it was safer to lie low for a time, so he wandered the island, checking nooks and crannies, but he was growing bored. He found himself on the shore of the water, tail lashing with irritation. He knew he had done something stupid, but he couldn't admit it out loud to anyone else. Was he prepared to suffer any future consequences? Eh, that was something he'd deal with as it came. |
