What's the hurry?

Delphi watches him whip around and instinctually, a growl rolls from her throat. In that instant, she isn’t sure who he is until he calms himself once his eyes move over her. Maybe it is because she is young or small, but either way, he doesn’t appear aggressive. Her brow furrows. Damn her for being so small! Releasing a snort, Delphi’s own companion stands protectively by her, eyes never leaving the bird companion that hops about on the boy’s back.

It is when the boy introduces himself as grampa Seer’s son and that his name is Charlie does Delphi relax. Her fur lays flat, lips folding back over her growing canines, and muscles relax. A son of grampa Seer meant he shouldn’t be mean. Otherwise she would report back to grampa herself and get him in trouble!

Before she can respond with her own name, he continues to talk. Asking about her family and how brave she was for being out here alone. Alright, that earned a roll of the eyes and an annoyed sigh. Just because she was tiny didn’t mean she couldn’t handle herself! “Well Charlie,” Delphi begins, dragging out the syllables of his name, “I’m out looking for Buckthorn. Wanna help or not?” She asks as her eyes land back on him with one brow raised and waiting for his answer.
