He hated how much he liked the warmth of her body as she collapsed back down on him. They were both a sodden mess, and their fur was clammy and stuck in places. A chill went through him as she pressed her face close to his, and he found himself holding his breath. She didn’t care much about personal space, did she?

Luckily, she offered up an exciting distraction that pulled him from whatever whirlwind his mind was going down, and he grinned immediately. “Hel yes” he agreed, especially if it got them out of the rain. His own little alcove had been a poor substitute for a cave. He did shove her then, but it was more playful then mean as he pushed her back. He also wanted to get her face away from his, with those taunting heterochromic eyes of hers.
