anyone out there?

Kaija, for some reason unknown even to her, decided to abandon the north entirely for the season. It was an unusual decision for a Jarvela, and an even more unusual one for her. But there wasn't much left for her here - if anything, she felt like the memories of her time here were weighing her down, and a fresh start sounded ideal. She was done wallowing and feeling hopeless and lost about her existence. That wasn't like her, and she was frustrated she'd let herself even begin to feel that way. Time to move on and to find something else to find purpose in.
This place was a nice change of scenery from the snowdrifts she'd just recently clawed her way out of. Sure, it was clearly winter here and the vegetation was sparse as hell, but it was way less harsh than in the north and she was perfectly fine with that right now. The cold was much milder and she moved with ease through the land, seeming quite unaffected by the light snowfall. Wasn't like a little snow ever hurt anyone, at least not her.
Seemed like she wasn't the only one who was scoping this place out though. A big, spotted-looking guy caught her eye, not far off from where she was. Her attention caught the teeth that protruded from his jaw, not far off from her own tusks, they were just angled differently. Neat. Moving to cross the distance between them she let out a loud greeting. "Afternoon," she called out, sounding friendly enough. Maybe this guy would bring a little entertainment to her afternoon, if nothing else.
