Sparrow didn't flinch back as the man latched onto her cheek. The sharp pain gave way to something akin to catharsis, but not quite. He wasn't who she wanted, the pain felt unsatisfying. Sparrow pushed forward, trying to topple the man and land a bite of her own on the boney part of his maw. The sooner she could shove him away, the sooner she could go after Medusa.
