He could feel his panic rising. Feeling trapped like this felt like death. He would be easy pickings for anything big enough to come from above, and he couldn’t even lift his head and look above him. It felt like every part of him was being poked and prodded, and so much as shuffling hurt now. He could feel tears of frustration burning in the back of his eyes. He curled his toes and let out a soft hissed breath. He wouldn’t cry, he couldn’t.

When Delphi came to him, she was apologising for - he assumed - her running off. Honestly, at this point that was pretty much forgotten. “That’s fine, but can you please help me?” He asked her, his voice coming out more like a squeak than he would have liked. He was terrified.
