He focused on his breathing. If he could keep that under control, he might also be able to stop the slight tremors he could already feel building up in his muscles. He didn’t want Delphi to see how terrified he actually was. He swallowed, closing his eyes as he lowered that last bit to the floor. It wasn’t like he could raise his head more than a twitch, anyway.

“When I tried to back up, all the branches were facing the wrong way and dug into me. If you could push them aside, I can try and back out until it’s big enough to turn around?” he asked her. He needed her smaller size, she had more freedom to move here.
