Bony weirdo was a new insult, but she ignored it. Instead, she wiggles slightly, digging in her elbows between his shoulder blades. Getting real comfortable, Delphi closes her eyes and lets out a satisfied sigh. "Can we sleep now?" Her voice is soft as she yawns. "Almost dying is exhausting," she says afterward as she peels one eye open to glance down at him. Her mind is still reeling, still confused, still a jumbled mess. While she wills her heart to stay slow, she can't ignore the way her belly flip-flops and how nice the warmth from his body feels. Did she actually hate him or something else? Did you sleep on top of your enemy? Should she get down? No, she was comfy. There was no turning back now.
