He didn't need to say anything else. There was nothing else to say, and soon enough Delphi's eyes closed. Her breathing evened out, and he knew she was asleep. He stayed awake a while longer. Listening to the sounds of her breathing, and wrestling with himself.


After a long while, he let out a long suffering sigh and got to his paws. He crept carefully towards her. Careful not to make a sound, before gingerly putting himself beside her bed-pelt. Most of him was on the stone floor, but that was nothing new to him. He placed his head near her, almost touching. Then at last he closed his eyes, and drifted off to sleep.
