It was rare that such a dark and sinister side of Maverick would unleash itself, but it seemed Bane was capable of bringing it out of him. It seemed only fitting that its first appearance would be before its origin. A growl resounded from deep in his chest as the man lay down in the snow. It appeared this would be the first smart decision he ever made. He was going to take it like a man. The King prepared himself, letting a few of his defenses go because well, they weren't needed. Bane mumbled a few other things, talking about Talutah and giving one final lesson. The King only half-listened, instead plotting in his mind what he was going to do to the man. The child had lost something - his appearance, his safety. It seemed only fitting that Bane lose something even more important. His eye - that would be the loss. He moved forward swiftly, jaws delving downward into the flesh of Bane's exposed shoulder. He would remain there a split second before jerking back and hoping to remove anything he could. Next his attention would turn to the man's face, jaws primed and ready to remove the man's eyesight in his left eye - if not the eye itself. As he came into contact his widely spread jaws would close, narrowing in on their target as a canine sought to tear away part - or perhaps the whole - eye. He bit down hard enough to hopefully leave trailing scars toward the missing eye. Finally he drew himself away, the pungent smell of blood in the air. Finally jaws would reroute to Bane's neck, closing around his windpipe and holding on until - as he had suggested - Bane stopped moving. Finally he would draw himself away, speaking not a word to the now unconscious banished one, nor the Ambassador who had chosen to remain. The fire burned in his chest hot and white, but it was joined by something he knew to be satisfaction. Bane had finally gotten what was coming to him.
