He listens to the sound of her hum, and it’s all the contact and closeness he never realised he had been missing. It hadn’t been easy to allow her close enough to cuddle like this. Yet, despite it being only a few times they had done so, it was already starting to feel natural. He was adjusting, he realised. Would it start to feel strange and uncomfortable curling up without her? He hoped not, he wasn't a fan of dependance. He felt the lick on his paw, and glanced at her, meeting her eyes.
