King and Lionheart

He had lost track of his mother and siblings. It was his own fault really, an adventurous pup with an early onset of bloodlust and a rather callous attitude, and he was bound to end up on his own. And yet he was loyal to his family, wherever they may be - and although he craved independence and power, he also wanted to be beside his sister, to please his mother. They plagued his mind constantly, but he knew that he would find them in due time. Alacritia may be big, but it belonged to the Elysium after all. They simply needed a way to make it their own once more, how he longed to sit a crown atop his mother's head as she had he and his siblings. They had been the keepers of the mountain, the royalty that ruled the volcano that could destroy the lands at any moment - much like he felt their own family had been then.
And then everything fell apart..
He himself took his mother losing the pack that she had wanted so badly for herself, as weakness on his own part. He had been young, foolish, too naive to reclaim what she had lost her grip on - and his anger became unsatiable. Even now his muzzle was covered in blood from his last kill, a large rodent that had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. He had torn the animal to shreds, but it had done nothing to calm him. And so he continued walking, sure that his sister was up north, but not sure just where to start searching. .
If he came upon another, he would be tempted to tear into them - but perhaps he would try his hand at socializing. If they knew where Artemis might be, he would gladly spare them from his teeth and claws. His pale eyes were narrowed, and far from empty - although there was not a trace of youth or innocence within them. Claimed by his various forms of lust - and to think he had not yet learned to crave the heat of another! - he paced the land, growing into himself day by day, all aspects of himself forming but those akin to love and affection. .
She was dark, his opposite, but he had followed her until he caught up to her, stepping toward her from her right side, but still hidden by the dense forest's trees. There was still enough space between them for the other to run, but he would close that distance and attack if she showed even the slightest bit of fear. Looking her over, he found that her elegant smile pulled a frown onto his lips. Yet his ears twitching as she spoke two subtle words. "Are you? Maybe I can change that." He would speak, stepping from behind the trees that had been sheltering him from sight to catch her attention. "That is, unless you can do something for me, wench."
