Resting was over.

Sanguine knew there would come a time that she would have to face her sister once more. The last their sights met had been quite some time ago and left a bitter, yet sweet taste on the brindle woman's tongue. All because she'd submitted when they were pups. She owed Lurid her life. Amongst various other things she'd done whilst they had been nothing but mere pups. Hating the dire sized sibling of hers felt like a waste of time. There was always other ways to get back at the off branded wolf. Born of whites and golds within a litter of dark pups. How did the Deity dare bless her with such gifts?

Her paws wandered over the freshly frosted ground. The subtle crunch under each step echoing through the silent area. So vast in its space. Littered with barren trees and snowed bushes. She cared not of the scenery. However, it was what it held that she searched endlessly for. A rare mushroom. Poisonous when digested and not fairly used in anything most herbalist mixed. She, on the other hand, enjoyed collecting them all. To mess with the lives of others. Their trust in her growing as she talked. Or rather when she did speak.

Thanks to Lurid, her once honey suckle voice now sounded like the humming of bees. If Sang were to scream, she'd sound even worse. Males ran from her. Females looked on in such disgust after hearing her talk. Its what fueled the hatred boiling in the depths of her stomach. Leaving her full of anger towards all creatures. Rather prey or predator. They were nothing to her. Pawns in a game she wanted to play. And would soon do so once she'd collected all the herbs she needed.

Which is why she was here in the first place. Digging through different bases of trees. Nose lifting rocks and eyes peeking into hollowed logs. Until finally, she'd found them. Hiding away from the cold air. Nestled beneath an underbrush that clearly kept them safe from most of the winter's touch. Carefully did she use a claw to uproot them. Not daring to use her mouth and fall prey to their treacherous side affects. Smiling with glee as she went to work.
