Poisonous Endeavours
Her family had been scattered to the winds. It was almost as if they didn't want to be found, but Lurid would not be giving up anytime soon. She had to find them...and punish them for leaving her when she needed them the most. How could they? Lurid saw it almost as a betrayal, and it was definitely abandonment. Yes, she would be happy to find any of them whole and in one piece, how would she not be? She loved her family more than any other creature, aside from Requiem and herself. There was no way she would let them get away with this slight, even if they had good excuses. Sanguine was number one on her list, Atropos had disappeared almost entirely, there was no hint of Cairn anywhere, and Eldritch was gone as well. Sanguine had not been here at all, not to raise Mirovis nor to help her keep it from falling when she had gone down. Perhaps, it was best she had not been here while Lurid was ill.
She had been traveling all over Boreas to find her siblings, turning over every rock and log in her search. Today, she was toeing the line between the snowy woods of Redbud Nook and Mount Volkan. staring up at the once dormant volcano and wondering if it was responsible for the first fall of Mirovis. The winds changed suddenly, bringing a familiar scent to Lurid's nose. White to lavender holographic gaze lit up as she followed the scent carried on the breeze. Had she finally found one of them? Sanguine's signature scent wafted through the air, and Lurid made a beeline toward her long-gone sister.
Silent paws carried her through the snow and leaf litter, the leaves not even daring to give her away. Surprise and relief flowed through her when she finally found her sister, but so did a deadly rage. The woman's back was turned to her and she was uprooting something by the way her body moved, no doubt it was something poisonous. Both of her sisters enjoyed poisons and potions, Atropos had shoved one after the other down her throat in an attempt to heal her from her illness; though it was in vain. Watching for a few moments, Lurid leaned against a tree as if she were relaxing and cleared her throat to catch her sister's attention. She would not speak until her sister turned to face her. Then, the punishment for being away so long could begin.
