open, potential for hunt skill

Winter had blanketed the range, and the pack had hunkered down to wait it out. With harvests over and their food stores packed with autumn's bounty, there was much less to do than previously but that didn't mean a complete vacation. The sheep still needed to eat, and in winter that was a much chancier proposition than in the rest of the year. They had to dig down to get to the dried grass and that wasn't particularly nutritious. That meant that they needed to be fed to keep their condition through the winter. Avalon had hay they'd cut while green, and grains they'd threshed from mature grasses, both of which had been packed away int the barn well before winter hit, so there was enough for the flock for the winter. It just took some work to get it to them. To that end, Corbie was pulling a sledge loaded with the day's hay and grain ration out to the winter paddock where the sheep were huddled together. She needed to go on predator watch anyway, so it was more efficient for her to bring it out with her, though she hoped someone else would come by to help.
unless otherwise stated, Corbie's kinkajou companion is with her at all times
