I Did A Dumb! [Sid]

Tarnish took a little trip to the mainland with Worc in tow. He'd promised not to go too far this time and contended himself to wander along the Sea's Plain, playing in the sand and stalking the seagulls. He kept an eye on the tide and otherwise busied himself hunting for clams. Every so often a spurt of water would shoot up where he was walking and then he would immediately get to digging. He was so focused on what he was doing that he didn't see the dark form of a black bear wandering down the beach. Unlike its cousins up north in the colder climates there was less of a need to hibernate here for the bear. It had emerged from its winter den with one focus, finding food, a nice feast before another long nap and the pup was just too good an appetizer to pass up. The bear charged and Tarnish looked up at the sound of large paw steps only to shriek and dive under the roots of the nearest cypress tree. If Worc hadn't been there and dove down pecking and clawing at the bear's face he'd have been a goner.
