The touch of Loccian's gentle neck graze made Silent's body quiver. Anger still burned in her chest and moved its way down to her stomach, causing her muscles to clench as a result. Her eyes closed hard and she felt her ears flatten against her cranium. Silent moved to return the neck graze to Loccian, slowly calming down and cooling from the adrenaline rush. Tears anew began to fall down her cheeks in small streams, making new lines in the slowly drying fur. She had never had so many emotional changes in a day, let alone within five minutes. The thought only made her want to curl in a ball and disappear. Loccian's kind words broke through the cascading waterfall of different feelings, making Silent look at her blearily. Her Ambassador was offering to help look after the pups until Bronze returned...it was the first nice thing she had heard outside of her family members all day. Sniffling, Silent blinked the current tears away and she slowly inhaled as she focused on the gray female beside her. "Th-thank you..." She stuttered, pressing her eyes closed to push the remaining tears out of her eyes. "I sure hope so, Loccian...our warriors only went to help and they ended up being taken as prizes..." Emerald green opts opened and with her broken heart, she looked at Loccian. "I know we don't spend much time together or know each other as well as you know Bronze, but your company and offer to help is gratefully appreciated..." Her gaze then wandered over Loccian's back to the den where her pups woke up every morning. "What...am I going to tell them? I never expected something like this to happen." "talking" |
