Let's start again

She still struggled to believe that Iho was back. So much time had passed since they had been together last. She had done a lot of growing, too. Up (but not ‘up’) and she did little to hide her disgruntlement any time Iho needed to reach something for her. But the fact that he was there to reach things… a part of her was home.

She smiled at his familiar alpine features, and stepped into his space to greet him. She had never minded invading his personal space before, and was determined to treat it much the same now, even if she was more aware of him these days. His sea-salt scent caught at her sensors, and she felt her heartbeat pick up. “I did.” she said imperiously, and then grinned up (and up) at him cheekily. “What’s your plans for the day, Iho? Ready to see my mother?” They needed to finalise his place in the pack.
