Winter had its grip on the lands, and with it, Finan had noticed a bit of an increase in hungry predators lately. He had managed to chase off a small pack of coyotes with his uncle a few days ago, but today...there was something else lurking nearby. He recognized the scent as belonging to a cougar. He didn't know what it was doing so close to the range as opposed to the forests or mountains, but perhaps lack of prey in those areas was driving it closer, and with Avalon's livestock, he could see why the beast would be drawn here. Even to risk going head-to-head with a pack of wolves. He patrolled the border, and so far, he had yet to find the scent of the cougar crossing the boundaries. He debated waiting until it did or going out to find it to make sure it didn't.
