Change is in the wind

The harsh words spitting from the woman's mouth made Delphi sneer. Who did this Valerie think she was?! Pulling up her lips to growl as Valerie faced her and stepped forward, Delphi visibly bristled. It was then that she heard the approach from behind. One quick look over her shoulder had her snarl turning into a grin as the woman continued to insult her. When she looked back and prepared to say something, Oki's long strides had already covered enough ground to step in front of the woman's lunging attack. His own harsh greeting to the loner had her stifling a laugh.

"Hi dada," Delphi cooed back as she leaned into Oki. "Oh, you like it? I think the swim over here helped give it a shine," she joked back, tilting her chin up to smile up at Oki as if he was the best thing in the world. Which, to Delphi and really to everyone else, he was. Oki was the best dad, duh.
