rain falls in dense clumps, but there’s a humidity in the air they aren’t accustomed to, a heat they haven’t experienced since summer came to an abrupt and unwelcome end. sodden and vaguely resembling a drowned rat, Spider picks their way though the undergrowth with pursed lips and a lowered brow, ears flat beneath the downpour. stepping awkwardly, they pull a face and attempt to duck under a tree, seeking shelter from the muddy terrain and all it’s icky trappings.
