She had sworn to her father, Vidarr, Strai, and everyone else that she would not leave pack lands. It was a promise she was willing to keep this time. For the young girl, she was exhausted. She was ready to relax and enjoy her time within the pack lands without getting into any trouble. Unfortunately for Delphi, that promise was bound to be broken. As if she were born with a bad luck charm tied around her neck, she once more found herself leaving Heidinn lands. This time wasn't her fault. No, no, instead it was some random animal's fault.

See what she had been doing was searching through the terrain's brush and trees for winter berries. Her supply was getting low because Strai seemed to always be hungry and she needed to replenish it. Now that she was almost a year old, she wanted to supply her own healing items instead of relying solely on the other healers. Delphi would prove she was capable, one way or the other. So as she traveled through the snow and ice to snuffle the snowbanks for hidden berries, she was drawn to a gurgling sound. An animal was dying. Her head lifts, the head of the wolverine bumping against her skull, as she peers around.

Not far off, maybe fifty yards or so, she can see someone lying down atop the snow. Delphi narrows her eyes, but can't quite make them out. Growling under her breath, she lets loose a howl for anyone who could help her before taking off. Across the border of Heidinn, she approaches the stranger whose paws are bleeding. A surprised gasp leaves her as she draws closer. Spooked by the sudden appearance of someone else, the wolf leaps up and bolts. Off into the distance with a trail of blood following. Well, she couldn't let this wolf just die alone now could she?

Taking off after the stranger, Delphi follows the bloody prints into the spooky woods. Icy fog curls around her short legs as she gains on the stranger. It isn't long before the wolf is panting and crying. Delphi calls out a few times as she watches the wolf fall against a tree and slump to the snowy ground. "Let me help you!" Delphi says breathlessly as she slows and closes the distance between her and the wolf. "Your paws, they are bleeding," she states the obvious as she pulls her bag out from under her wolverine cloak to search for something to help.
