The Empress knew that the slave would have as much culture shock as environmental shock. Ashen was not like many other places, the girl wouldn’t even be considered a true slave here. There was always a chance at working her way out of such a rank. She wasn’t so sure the girl would understand such a complex concept with her rudimentary understanding of english. They would get there eventually.

Venom paused as the girl took in her surroundings, which included the Empress herself. The Klein matriarch paused and allowed the girl’s eyes to rove, she had already taken stock of Chesna’s build. She had made her assumptions, but had made no real judgment yet. She was young and full of potential, but Ashen would see what kind of asset she truly was.

As the woman’s eyes met her own the reality of the life she had lived came crashing back down on her and she slumped before Venom. Asking forgiveness in her slavic language as she groveled at the Empress’s white toes. Venom sighed softly, and with a gentle paw lifted up the girl’s chin. "Be still, you are forgiven.” She released her just as gently. "I believe you will be hindered in your work if you were not allowed to have free reign of your eyes. Be at peace.” Again, she had no idea how much could be understood.
