Don't Fear the Reaper

A grunt and gasp pull from the earthen man as the bridge gives way. Suddenly there are teeth in the back of his neck and, even though he's in danger, the first instinct is to fight. He struggles a bit, but is deposited on the other side. Spinning around, he catches the eye roll and snarls at the dark brute. Once his temper cools, he'd realize that he'd been saved, but for now, he was glad to be angry.

Seeing as how he couldn't exactly murder his guide, Mistral turned and looked about the cavern. There was a flat place beyond and, after looking at the different ways that he might get across, the giant man chose to use the stepping stones and leaped from one to another.
