She turned her head, snuggling into his fur, and he rested his nose against her forehead. Breathing in the scent of her.

“You can’t be held accountable for all the bad shit that happens to you, Del.” He said with a soft sigh. He hadn’t fallen upon that scene and thought it her fault. He had been… angry, so angry, that another wolf had sought to hurt her. She’d had enough of that in her life! He brushed a nose across the pretty freckles scattered below her eye. “And we’ll mess with anyone that tries to mess with you.”
