Beauregard could see the hope that flickered within Bae-Syl’s eyes. It was hope he was glad to give, he couldn’t imagine the pain of a child being missing for so long. But wherever Gavroche had been staying, he had been kept safe. And he had been a wonderful playmate for his daughter, Bellatrix. She was the only child in Norad, and knowing that Bae-Syl’s litter was in Ethne, well, it made sense that he might take a trip with her to their allies so she could play with some kids her own age. But lighter thoughts weren’t something he could focus on for long, not with the worry of a threat lingering, and the hail that battered against his body. His ears pinned against his head, but still, he could hear Bae as he spoke.

His offer, though a bit indirect, was appreciated, and Beau gave a nod to the other man. “That sounds like a plan, thank you.” He was truly grateful that Bae-Syl would help him. But for now, he could see the opportunity with the rougher weather. A wolf needed to be ready to fight in all conditions. Slipping into a fighting stance, Beauregard rolled his shoulders forward and lowered his head to align with his spine. He and Bae-Syl bore matching frames and that would certainly make the fights interesting. Keeping his skills sharp, and fighting alongside an ally would be a good thing. He tipped his head to the rainbow marked man, letting him know that he would be taking the first move.

And then Beau rushed forward. The feeling of hail under paw was rough, but Beauregard pushed through the pain of the prickling balls of ice and sought to deviate to Bae-Syls left and slam his own left shoulder into his opponent’s. Beau also swung his head to the left and up, hoping to bite onto the top of Bae's back and slice into his flesh for a minor wound.
