Oh ma douce souffrance

Auriga heard another figure crunching towards her, but so did the ram, and as the ram bolted, Auriga let out a deep, guttural snarl before charging after it.

She turned to bellow over her shoukder: "If you want to eat, catch this with me! Swing right and cut it off up ahead!" Whatever else she had, thought wise, was cut off by the need to handle the ram. Auriga was hungry and she wanted to get a damn kill, wanted the blood and guts, so she snarled, snapped at the air, and lurched towards the ram.

The powerful wolf sought to chase it down a path to the right, the same path she had directed the stranger down. Auriga would deal with the stranger later. For now... she wanted blood on her teeth.
