Arietta lay beneath the shade of the redwood trees, eyes closed as she let her body relax from the trek down from the mountains. Though it was only fall snow had fallen up within the rocky terrain, forcing her to come down in search of a pack. The thought of meeting an alpha, as well as entering a pack for the first time, seemed exciting. But scary too. Reddish-brown ears twitched in response to hearing the birdsong in the branches above her. Many birds were migrating south for winter, and that made them all the more annoying when they bunched together to rest. Soft blue eyes opened and looked up to the branches above, Arietta letting out a quiet sigh.
