The sun! The sun! It had been raining pretty much all day, and really for the last few days, on and off. Even when it wasn't actively raining, the days seemed to be cloudy and always threatening it. Selkie was less than amused with being cooped up inside, it was like they were still scared she'd catch her death from the cold or something. The child insisted she was fine thank you very much! Now that the clouds had broken and even begun to burn away, leaving the sun shining down through a still sorta-chilly afternoon, there was no reason Selkie should have to stay inside. At least if she brought someone with her they couldn't be so hesitant about it. "Gem," she called for her sister from the doorway. "Gem come on, let's go see if we can find some clay or something." Selkie was already antsy to leave, stepping out into the sunlight, then needing to go back for some sort of vessel to actually collect it all in. A stoneware bowl (she didn't think that was one of mom's good ones?), right, that would do. Ugh it was time to get a move on though, who knew when it would start raining again! |
