There are days for him to be the viking king.  Days where he rises high on the mountain and watches, days he schemes and plots and plans.  Days when he trains those who needs it, days when he tends the flock.  Days when he does all of the work that needs doing, no matter how small or trivial.  There are days for that.  Then, there are days like today.  Days during which the shadow sets aside what he can for the day, days he hands the reins to those ready and willing to prove themselves competent in the face of challenges.  

Those were the best days.  Those were the days Víðarr could spend with his wife.  

Maybe it wasn't the whole day, but at least it's the rest of it.  Daylight hours were getting longer, and the plans they'd made for spring lay heavy on his mind.  He was going to do this right, but he would see it done... often and well.  After airing out their den properly and setting out a nice lunch, the viking king sought Tenshi.  Upon finding her, he'd stand quietly and watch her work for just a bit before stealing her attention for himself.
