★ Random Event: Slip and slide

The trek upward is difficult and Oscar often feels as if he is slipping backwards more than actually making progress up and out of the sound. His sentiment about the rain is agreed to by a wolf behind him and the donkey swivels his head, long eyes turning to catch their voice as he cast his blue eyes toward them. Flashing the stranger a huge grin that reveals all of his flat teeth, the ass calls out, “Try and stick to the areas where I stepped! It is difficult to see but my hooves have flattened the ground for you.” Thick Irish tones offer the stranger a helpful tip and, as he turns his attention back to the area before him, he spies the other wolf that had been ahead of him tumbling down toward him.

He comes to a stop near the small donkey and the ass brays a laugh as the muddy wolf looks up at him, echoing his words about the stupid rain and Oscar nods in agreement. With a grin he says, “Aye. Now come on, back on your paws now, before the muck decides to swallow ya up.” He shifts over toward the male, soft muzzle reaching out toward the downed wolf to gentle nudge at him, trying to offer him assistance in his new endeavor. Once the dark male is once again upright, the donkey turns his head toward where the other wolf is climbing and calls out, “Oi! Ya still alive down there? We’ll wait for ya to get here before movin’ on.”  

Turning to look at his new companion, the ass offers, “We can rest for a few while that one gets here. Might be better if we all tackle the path at the same time.” A flash of flat teeth is given before he shuffles his mud-covered legs, tilting one of his sore back hooves up to take the pressure off it while he awaits the arrival of the second wolf. Blowing a relieved sigh through his lips, he casts his blue gaze at the tall wolf and offers, “Name’s Oscar. What brings you out here on this hellish day?” He is trying to offer the stranger a chance for some conversation… it is up to them if they wish to take it.
