She didn't know him well. But she knew that look. She had been there once upon a time while in Habari. When she thought she'd lost all hope after all her efforts had gone unnoticed. When she felt like her life was a waste when half of Habari made her feel like that. But she wouldn't do that to Enki. That look in his eyes and his demeanor was caused by something else, and it's in the way he acts now that she knows the truth before he confirms it. When he does say how he learned the news, she pursed her lips. Half of her was happy to hear that the news was true. She didn't like Recluse. Recluse hadn't liked her. But while it was good news for Medusa, meant it was bad news for Recluse's children. They were without a mother now, but then again...she couldn't say that Recluse should really be missed. After all, she had opted not to come for the children that Medusa had kept. For what reasons, she didn't know. And she'd probably never know or understand what the thought process was behind that. All she knew was that if her own pups were in that position, she'd be fighting tooth and nail for them come hell or high water. That feeling was heightened when she thought about the fact that nobody had ever been there for her ever since she was a pup barely able to feed herself.

Still...she showed sympathy. While she despised Recluse, the kids didn't deserve the heartbreak that came with her passing. "Medusa is sorry to hear that," She says softly, sincerely. Though Enki was subjected to the Tar Pits and the others weren't, she had a heart still. She wouldn't keep him from the rest of his family when he was grieving. "Enki can go see his family if he wants...or stay here...it is his choice. Medusa does not know what it is like to be sad when she loses a parent - Medusa's dad was dead and her mom left her to die when she was a pup - but Enki is not alone." She tried to offer a small smile, but in his state, she knew it'd do little to ease any of his pain.

Please note: Medusa is a wildcard! While she is mostly kind, friendly, and eager to help, she can equally be cold, aggressive, and eager to murder you depending on how you treat her! She refers to herself and often, others, in the third person (illeism), and occasionally has tics due to her Tourette's and may giggle and laugh at random, and may twitch here and there. She is a blood & gore type of character, and is not above killing, maiming, or other such violent actions if she's given a reason to do so. It's often in your best interest to not cross her or get on her bad side. Ya never know what she might do c:
