Monster House

Their mother had called for them, giving the children permission to leave the den. Surprisingly Sawbone hadn’t tried to slip out yet, but that was only because of the immense respect he had for his mother. His siblings, however, not so much. Saw was a pain to put it mildly, pestering them while they slept and pulling on ears and tails before he darted away. Now that his mother had given them permission to leave, however, all bets were off. Sawbone exploded from the den like a bat out of hell, blinking his eyes rapidly as he adjusted them to the newfound brightness of the world. All around them there were new things… heck, even under him was something new and green. It was kind of soft?

Upon recovering from the brightness Sawbone immediately took it upon himself to begin rolling in the grass, a wide grin on his face as giggles escaped his maw. His tail moved back and forth as his limbs pawed up towards the clouds in the sky. So many new things! New sights, new smells! He wasn’t even really sure what he wanted to do first. He wiggled in the grass, head tilting back as he looked towards his mother.

“Soft!” He is still grinning from ear to ear, looking quite pleased with himself.
