Having taken away the small girl's most natural route of attack, Vanta had expected her opponent to try a different angle. As Delphi dodged and then leapt, Vanta's paws clenched to catch the dirt below. She skidded to a stop a bit too quickly, losing her balance enough that her next move was a desperate one. Kicking out her limbs from beneath her, Vanta threw herself to the ground onto her side. It exposed her underbelly - the very thing she was trying to protect in the first place - but gave her an alternative means of attack.

She waited until Dephi's leap drew her near, pulling her limbs back into her until the time was right to release the tension - kicking out at the small, flying woman with her back legs like a cat. It was not a move she had practiced, but if she was lucky enough to aim right, perhaps she could end the fight here and now with a well-timed kick to the face.
