Magpie had been enthusiastic about being a hunter for some time. She'd joined in on pack hunts while still quite young, and that was an enthusiasm and responsibility that Corbie certainly wanted to encourage, and she didn't want Magpie to feel left out as Corbie took each of her siblings out privately so even though she had more of a feel for Magpie than the others thanks to the early hunts she decided to meet Magpie one on one anyway to work with her. She knew the girl could take orders and work together with the pack on hunts, but she didn't know how the apprentice's solo hunting had developed, so that would be their focus today. Making her way out near the border near the river, where there would undoubtedly be plenty of smaller animals to hunt, she raised her muzzle to call for Magpie to join her.
