This was it. This was the last place he'd seen momma. Tama could feel his heart breaking in his chest, aching, quaking. He could feel all the things that he'd
rather not feel as they washed over his system. Gripped him. Swirled around him. Fuck, why did it hurt so badly? More than that, why did he hold it against his father. Really, it was a punch in the gut that dad wasn't doing
more about the whole situation. He should be out there. He should be
looking for her.
At least ma was out there. At least she was trying, in her own, weird, solitary way. She expected him to stay put, but fuck she shoulda known better. Tama took to the places he'd seen momma last, looking for any sign. Any clue. Any
anything that would tell him what happened. Someone had kidnapped his momma, and all he wanted was to get to the bottom of it-- seemed simple. Seemed reasonable. If all of that was true, then why hadn't Tama been able to find
anything more?
But here it was... one of the last places. She'd been around the mountain, right? Dad said she'd been scouting down towards the Crypt, and that's when they'd gotten her. Search. Tama would search. He needed to look for himself. A deep furrow formed in his brow, the boy slunk down beneath the mountain. Hoping. Hoping beyond hope for any sign of her.
