Once Upon a Time

Grimshaw had always been more like a shadow than an actual, living and breathing wolf. He'd been through a lot yet he couldn't even speak of the half of it. Maybe he would remember one day, but as each and every one passed, he was beginning to have his doubts. What he did know though, was that he wanted Sorcerer here with him. He was happy being back home of course, but he would be much happier with him here. He missed him nearly constantly and he was on his way out of the castle to go and find him when he saw his mother dropping a rolled up fur on the floor before taking a seat. He frowned wondering why she was doing such work on her own. Had she not done enough work to settle and relax, leaving her kids or other able-bodied packmates to do the heavy lifting?

Grim padded down the stairs and approached with a frown and furrowed brow. So much had changed while he was gone. Resin had died, Tamsyn he'd heard had found a new husband, and age had settled on them all. With his birthday nearing next season, even he knew he wasn't a spring chicken anymore. What did that make Tamsyn, though? "I find it hard to believe that you couldn't find someone else to carry that for you," he said as he sat down beside her, wondering what she was doing with the rolled up fur anyway.
