Nila was still pacing back and forth, wrapped up in her own anxious thoughts that she hadn’t even noticed Kaino’s return until she spoke. She couldn’t help as her eyes roamed over Kaino’s frame, looking for any indication that she’d been hurt. Just as she always did whenever she returned to her.
