Dogs, eh? A bit of a difference between the normal predators that Kaino found up this way. It was both good and bad. Bears were big and slow, at least. Several dogs though? They would provide a much larger challenge. They were quick and could come at her from all directions. Some of the brutes were excited to see a female wolf in heat. Others just wanted something to sink their teeth into. Kai was adamant that she would not be a chewtoy today.

The four dogs began to circle her and Kai carefully positioned herself with her back against the wall. At least they wouldn't be able to rush her from behind, but she was at a disadvantage. The first dog rushed her, a big scruffy coated thing, and she met it teeth first, biting into its muzzle. With a yelp of pain, the dog ripped away, running back behind the other three to regain its composure. She had no doubt that it would be back at her in just a moment.
