A ball. Meadow had read about them in the books, and they sounded... kinda fun, actually. But with one happening in the castle? She wasn't too sure about that one. She knew she didn't have to go down, of course, but with the sounds of the evening starting to float up to her room... maybe it wouldn't hurt to appear for a little bit. That, and it was important that she supported Bramble. This was her ball, and she'd worked so hard to get everything set up. Right, spending just a little time down there probably wouldn't be the end of the world. Taking a deep breath, Meadow decided that she could probably handle this.
Making sure she looked presentable enough-- shoot. After scrubbing at some of the red clay staining on her paws and realizing it probably wouldn't budge, she decided that it wasn't going to matter. Not like she was staying for all that long anyway. Ear plugs in to dampen the noise, and... well, it's as good as she was going to get. Tentatively, Meadow slipped down the back stairs, not wanting to draw any more attention than necessary. Not sneaking, but also very much hoping no one noticed her. Deciding the coast was clear enough, she made a move for the snacks.
