If it had been Gil, herself, and some adult members of the Raiders Rivin would have felt much better about taking the thing down, but hearing his pups behind her as they came to assist had the red streaked woman rethinking her strategy. The kids went around the white beast, seeking to heckle its rear end. Rivin ripped the dagger from the bear’s shoulder as it swung and roared in pain and frustration. Rivin didn’t see where it swept - it didn’t really matter when Gilgamesh was flying at its face a moment later. She heard sand fly, and, holding her dagger, Rivin moved to slash across the things side as she kept her face as close to its body as she could manage. With Wake on the other side and Tarnish on the thing’s tail, she was confident she’d avoid hurting one of the boys. The metallic scent of blood welled up as her blade pierced through skin and fur, the metallic scent of blood growing stronger the more damage they did. Pain would make the bear run off.
She would break away as she neared the hip, rounding to see if the bear would need more urging or if it was going to attempt to make a break for it. She heard Tarnish calling from somewhere near the beast’s front and began to move back that way. The last thing they needed was for the kid to get in the way of a bear as it fled and get him trampled.
