Lucette’s eyes widened as her daughter was knocked over onto her side. While she had wanted to stop Vitani from tasting the herb, as a mother she worried about accidentally hurting her child as well. That was his first concern as she stepped beside her pup, the tiny purple flowers on the floor of the den as her daughter held tight onto the sprig of lavender that she had collected. And there, before Lucy could open her mouth to ask if her daughter was okay, into Tani’s mouth the plant went. A heavy sigh passed Lucette’s lips as she sat. The herb had been made a mess of, and most of what remained was… probably unusable. Her paws trembled a bit as she moved a paw onto her daughter’s shoulder, trying to steady herself.

“Lavender…” She told the pup. “...are you alright? I didn’t push you too hard?” The femme lowered to the earth, nosing her child gently as she tried to check for signs of injury. The stress in her voice was clear, her ears pinned back to her skull. What a mess this was…
