Let's Try This Again

Morticia gave a nod of understanding as her mother explained she would have to chase them toward the trap, and that she would be close by just in case the turkey escaped. Medusa would show her how to try and prevent it, but that didn’t mean the turkey couldn’t find a way to escape anyway. Morticia’s gaze flicked to the grass stalks her mother held as she started to carefully wrap some of the bone pieces together so that they were in a y-shape. Her head tilted to the side curious as she watched, trying to make sense of what her mother was doing. This was supposed to act as the snare? Her gaze flicked to the remaining materials. Surely it wouldn’t be too hard to mimic what her mother had done to make the first?

So Morticia settled down with them, her brow furrowing as she tried to tie the grass around the bone. It was trickier than she expected and the colorful gremlin scowled as she had to redo it a few times. Frustrated huffs left her lips, but Morticia didn’t stop, continuing to set it up until at last she made something at least similar to what Medusa had made. It was more shoddily crafted, and the chance of it breaking was definitely up there…. But Morticia had tried, her tail wagging back and forth as she looked up at Medusa with a grin. “This good?”
