FORBIDDEN FRUIT

The small woman missed nothing in her gaze, openly drinking in every inch of him. The look she gave seemed almost raptorial - as though he might be the next carcass she hoped to seat herself atop. His own greenish gaze remained narrowly zeroed in on the she-wolf, taking the liberty of looking her over as she had done to him, albeit without such abandon.

Not surprisingly her voice was that of a song, but it did little for him. Seraphim, unlike most males, was uninterested in that which females had to offer. The only reason he would ever bring himself that close to one would be to bear children, as he had done only once in the past. He simply had no interest in companionship with other adult wolves - at least for the most part.
