Widow

Stretching her limbs after birthing a whole pack-load of children was probably a good thing, though she hardly wanted anything more than to lay down and take a nap. That of course wouldn't help shed any of the baby weight she had packed on, though, and so she begrudgingly made her way out of the gorge and decided to patrol a bit. She couldn't be a very good Dream if she didn't do some necessary patrolling, anyway, and helped her motivation some even if neither reason was really enough on it's own. She thought about inviting her children on this walk about, though they all seemed content with their own nap and so she let them be, deciding that she'd take them out to see their world on another day and left them under the watchful eyes of her ravens. Her cat however, joined her, eager to get away and out into the sun it seemed.
Though their jaunt remained mostly quiet, as Widow moved through the dancefloor she spotted one of Medusa's newest children pouncing something in the distance. Her head tilted briefly, assuming he'd found a poor, unsuspecting mouse or otherwise, before making her way over to the strangely red child. Though she supposed he wasn't too strange looking, considering Medusa had had some rainbow-colored children last year. In fact, this one looked pretty normal compared to Morticia and Phantasm, if it weren't for the tall ears anyway. As she approached she noticed that he had in fact pounced a little flower and furrowed her brows with a half smile. Practice made perfect, she supposed, and what better thing to practice on than something that couldn't run away.
"Practicing your pounce?" she asked softly as she smiled at him as she sat some paces away, though close enough for a comfortable conversation.
"Speech!"
