Wine Pon You

It really did something delightful for Absinth, to have Karaka at her side and so eager to follow her about. But in exchange she had decided to do well in keeping the prospective tales flowing for the story-teller. She craved excitement did she not? Absinth only desired to keep the girl at her side. It was pleasing to hear she had been the first to introduce Raka to the colorful  landscape, her eyes taking in all the sight’s the Nook had to offer.

And when Absinth had called for her Raven, she took joy in the expression that cut across the orange girl’s face. A look of curiosity and awe. Even the bird enjoyed the bright blue eyes that seemed to adore them already, a rough repetition of words following a ruffle of those silky feathers. The words ’shiny’, ’treasure’, and ’pretty’ croaked out from its beak.

Absinth immediately began to laugh, amusement playing on her charcoal face. “Oh, she likes you. Hear that? She’s complimenting you. Raven’s love shiny things, it’s like treasure to them.” Absinth’s gaze drifted from Karaka to the Raven, her smile soft but elated. Telling of her adoration for the bird that was currently peering up at Raka's dangling jewels, trying to decide if those were prettier, or her fur, or perhaps her eyes themselves?
