Are you ready, are you ready, are you ready for this?

It had been a long time since Lucette had explored a land for the sake of exploration, but she had felt that maybe, just maybe she could trust Bae-Syl to behave and keep an eye on their children while she went up to Boreas for some herbs. It had taken convincing of course, and many promises that if she was faced with danger she would run and not engage. She knew he worried, and his worry was out of love for her. Truthfully her worry for Bae-Syl was out of love for him too. The man meant the world to her, and if fighting her own nature would help keep his mind at ease while she was away then she would do just that.

It was warm here in Boreas, where Summer had arrived. Lucette had made her way across to Bifrost and to the east where the ground had started to feel softer and more spongy. The smell of water invaded the air, and Lucy curiously moved in that direction. All around her trees stretched upward, and as she went in a bit deeper she realized that she could smell salt. The mossy green colored grass started to become more squealshy, she realized, and to her surprise the smell of water was even stronger than before. She picked up a paw and then set it back down hard, watching how it sank down into the earth and had some cool water pooled up around her paw.

A mangrove, she realized! That was why the scent of water was so strong. The deeper in she’d go, the more water would be found. That also explained the strong scent of salt. Lucette chuckled softly, tail swishing back and forth in amusement. What a fun place! Would herbs even grow in such a terrain, or would the salt from the water discourage the use of healing plants?
