He's trying to be charming... trying, and it leaves Jael all but gripping the bridge of her nose. Incredulous as she looks at the boy, unsure whether to laugh or smack him upside the head. Really, Kenway was lucky that he was too big, too heavy for her to drag home by the scruff of his neck.
"How exactly does 'I saved your son from being eaten by a bear' make me look like the bad guy?" Unsure exactly what was going through the boy's head or... if there was anything at all.
And then the boy
effectively asking if she had any games on her phone. Jael gave a long, slow suffering sigh as she looked at Kenway.
"How are you even so sure it's dead?" Squinting for a moment longer before stepping to the edge, peering over. Only a few hundred yards to their right was a ragged pathway down, not the most dangerous and... yeah. Bear at the bottom was dead. Still deeply frustrated and already exhausted, Jael led the way to the trail, bidding her bird go find something to use as a makeshift sack to wrap their treasures in.
"You have to share, though." Grumbling, but they
would make some cool jewelry and good tools.
