It didn't take long for another to emerge, a colorful, tiny creature who immediately focused on him. Well… if the gods had decided that he must spill blood then he would do it. His defenses flew into place, ears pinned, tail tucked, and shoulders rolled forward. He pivoted sharply to face her as she leapt up, horn aimed to pierce. His jaws darted out to intercept, seeking to catch the top of her head between his jaws before the horn could do serious damage to his chest. He knew better than to judge an opponent on size, having tangled with a nasty wolverine in his younger age. He hoped to catch her mid air and hang on to her before she could race off again.
