Imogen had tried her best not to squirm too much when her daddy had picked her up and carried her but it was hard when everything she spotted made her want to go and explore it! Especially as they got further and further away from the hut. When she'd finally been let free her efforts had then been put into making sure she didn't dart off, much as she wanted to. Her dad had said they were going somewhere and Imogen wanted to go wherever it was he was taking her, she liked spending time with all her parents but damn if she wasn't hard to keep herself contained. They were leaving the Cedars behind though and as the forest and brush started to thin she found herself mostly gaping at her surroundings. Her father stopped not too far out of the forest she knew and began explaining what they were doing.
"Okay!" She chirped happily before she started forward again, this time with an exaggerated step and her head held high in a childish show of what she clearly thought authority meant. The scents here weren't too different from the falls but there was more sun here, even in autumn and the trees had a white bark she'd never seen before. "There's prey smell." She started slowing her walk to try and take in what she was observing and smelling. "Some of the regular stuff... Tapeer I think..." That one was a word she was still learning how to pronounce. "But some animal smells I never smelled before." The closer to the river she got the stronger one of those unfamiliar scents got.
